Viola Davis is a rock star no doubt but the other actors were nothing short of spectacular as well! I like the dynamics of the group – how they fight, eventually pair up and seeing who they end up with is fun and makes perfect sense after sometime. Although the muhibah part – each person of the group conveniently representing a different demographic kinda threw me off a little, but overall. Yes! More please! Oh and to some extent, yeap you WILL learn a thing or two about getting away with murder. Do apply accordingly.

Definitely one of my all time favourites! Nice to watch a history type series other than the usual The Tudors, The Borgias and even The White Queen. The White Queen, no contest is crazy awesome though, but yes once in awhile, a break from ‘ye olde english’ is good for the soul. Vikings gives you just that! Learned a lot actually about viking culture and history. Well, most likely not even 60% true but interesting nevertheless =) Gotta love Floki and Lagertha!

Huge dramatisation of drug addiction. But the truths in it are tragically real. The hiding, the lying, the ‘skills’ picked up to hide a drug addiction and the eventual bit when everyone gives up on you and all you have left is you, yourself and IV drips. ALTHOUGH, saving grace – the show has a good mix of characters. Very REAL LIFE characters, which is awesome. No flying about on broomsticks or stealing blood bags for dinner. It can get boring after awhile but still awesome.

2 words. DAVID. TENNANT. Eeeks! My ultimate favourite Dr Who plays the evil guy in the series and he does it incredibly well. INCREDIBLY WELL. The lead actress is pretty great too, not your average blonde and busty superhero. In fact, a very jaded, afraid, frail but as you will find out, very strong superhero. Pretty good Season 1. I hope Season 2 can keep the vibe up!

The first 2 seasons were good, then it just got too draggy. You can clearly see that the writers were running out of plots and ideas. BUT it’s a fandom so we forgive and eventually forget the obvious flaws because we are just in love with Sookie Stackhouse and Vampire Bill. On the scale of fandom-ness for true blood, I’m probably a 6/10. For Supernatural and The Originals? Fandom level 8/10. Some of us are just loyal to the core, even when the show starts to lose its charm, we still hold on. Oddly enough, we still do feel a great lost when the show comes to an end.

They only made 1 season of The Secret Circle. This series came out in 2011. The show just didn’t have a strong enough following for the network to make a second season. I’m in shock of course. Maybe 2011 was leaning towards the ‘Twillight sparkly vampire era’ and nobody really caught on with covens and witches? Impossible though. It was a teen targeted show and teens usually slurp supernatural shows up by default. Magic powers, all members of the coven incredibly hot and even surprisingly strong storyline – how could this show become a miss? Although everyone from the show ended up with their own tv series so it’s not too bad.
The Originals [5 out of 5]

Firstly, everyone is hot in The Originals. It makes life seem a little extra unfair. Vampires, witches and werewolves, the supernatural unbeatable trinity. Good storyline (which is uber important) and good cast. This series would inspire you (for that 45 minutes) to get your life in order, start exercising and maybe pick up some form of self defence (just in case you get attacked by a 200 year old vampire who by chance is out for SPECIFICALLY your blood). No kidding, it’s pretty good =)

Good storyline. Nuff said. I am genuinely entertained! The row of perfect gladiator abs will distract you from the plot occasionally, but then you’d fall back down to earth when a character you like suddenly gets beaten to death. Very physically visual, a lil’ too much at times. Even if you live alone, you’d have that gut reflex to make sure your door’s locked. Lucy Lawless (a.k.a Xena, Warrior Princess) is in it too, and she rocks =)
